Indigenous Vision is teaming up with Personal Safety Coach, Kola Shippentower (Cayuse•Umatilla•WallaWalla•Niimiipuu•Samoan), for a two-day MMIW & MMIP Women’s Empowering Retreat this April 4th and 5th in Pasco, WA. Kola is a professional MMA Fighter, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brown Belt, Oregon Raven’s Tackle Football Player, Mother, Advocate and the founder of The Wisawca Project.
Together we are inviting young Indigenous women, girls, and two-spirited community members from the Pasco, WA area to register for this event by filling out our registration form before March 30, 2024. You can expect speakers and presenters from the states of Montana, Arizona, Utah, Nevada, and Washington coming together to share wisdom behind keeping the MMIW & MMIP work rolling year round, networking, self care methods, self defense demonstrations, situational awareness, healing trauma and awakening strength, and how to self preserve through hard issues like MMIW & MMIP.
