Apply to work with Conservation Dogs monitoring Chronic Wasting Disease with Working Dogs for Conservation and Indigenous Vision!
Indigenous Vision (IV) and Working Dogs for Conservation (WD4C) are seeking 2 interns to work with the IV Mapping Program and the Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD) Monitoring Project! Interns will assist in mapping significant place impacts and assess environmental stressors in relation to CWD. The internship includes both office and field work, a monthly allowance, travel stipend, and necessary office equipment will be provided.
This will be an excellent opportunity to get to know traditional ecosystems function and cultural use, climate impact, food sovereignty, and habitat protection while contributing valuable information that will inform CWD management efforts. Both interns will participate in the preparation, fieldwork, and follow up for conservation projects in the Blackfeet Nation and Missoula under the supervision of WD4C, with leadership and input from IV.
