Indigenous Vision presents Cultural Humility in 2025. Join us for another round of our “Train the Trainer” sessions this upcoming February and May. Learn the principles of Cultural Humility and build your skills through real time practice with our tools and guidance over four sessions virtually on zoom.
Registration is now open for both cohorts. Seating is limited.
This is a transformative and interactive 10-hour train-the-trainer virtual series where we dive deep into the concepts, principles, and practices of Cultural Humility.
The Cultural Humility model provides a method to advocate and maintain accountability by redressing the power imbalances in the workplace and in our communities. For over two decades, the model has replaced the insufficient notion of “cultural competence” with a cyclical approach that embraces critical self-reflection as a lifelong learning process to create a broader, more inclusive view of the world.
Indigenous Vision has been facilitating in-person and virtual trainings since 2018, our Indigenous led team, (Souta Calling Last/Blackfeet Nation and Melissa Spence/Ojibway Nation), will present the course curriculum that was lovingly created by Dr. Melanie Tervalon and Dr. Jann Murray-Garcia. All materials will be provided once you complete the training. Commitment to all four sessions is required for all materials.
Please visit our Cultural Humility page for details, testimonies, our Cultural Humility podcast series and our interview with Dr. Tervalon (co-founder) and the Eventbrite page where you can register you and a team member, read more about the training, and check out some of our FAQs.
All are welcome to attend!
We look forward to seeing you this February 2025!
