We’re almost a month away from our MMIW Women’s Empowerment Retreat on the Cayuse, Umatilla, Walla Walla land, in Pasco, WA. Indigenous Vision & The Wisáwca Project have spent the past few months creating a loving space for family members of MMIW & MMIR, advocates and supporters, survivors, and community members for our 2-day event this April 5th & 6th.
Things will kick off on Thursday, April 5th at Wesley Coopers SIRI BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU in Pasco, WA where we have a stacked lineup of presenters, speakers, self-defense coaches, and organizers dedicated to supporting the MMIW & MMIR crisis across Great Turtle Island. Indigenous Vision is proud to have this gathering in Washington State where our generous funders, The Share Fund, made it all possible!
Registration is officially open to Indigenous community members who want to take part in this participatory event where we’ll not only break a sweat learning Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but share stories, network with others doing this very hard work, and find new ways to heal and keep going.
Agenda will be sent once registered, travel and accommodations are not provided. Lunch will be available both days. Please email us with any questions; hello@indigenousvision.org
